Pocket, formerly Read it Later) have produced an experimental read it later button. This plugin allows you to add this button to any post or page via a convenient shortcode.

Please note this is not an official plugin by Pocket. The plugin was developed by us and as such Pocket do not support this plugin.

The Button Itself:

The button connects to your Pocket account and, if logged in, when pressing it it automatically adds the page into Pocket. Also, clicking the button again marks the page as read and syncs back to Pocket for your convenience :)

Installation:

  1. Download the plugin direct from the Plugin Page at WordPress.
  2. Upload the whole plugin folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
  3. Go to the Plugins page and activate the plugin
  4. Check all the setting in the Linkedin Profile Badge Settings area
  5. Hit Update

The shortcode:

You can insert the profile badge easily within any page, post or template by simply using the following shortcode:

[getpocket]

To enter the shortcode directly into templates using PHP, enter

echo do_shortcode('[getpocket]');

The Result:

The finished result (at least of the inline mode) should insert the bookmarlet button like so:
