At the end of May 2011, Twitter introduced a new follow buttonwhere you can now attract more followers at the click of a button. This plugin helps you insert the button anywhere within your WordPress site via a shortcode.

Installation:

  1. Download the plugin direct from the Plugin Page at WordPress.
  2. Upload the whole plugin folder to your /wp-content/plugins/ folder.
  3. Go to the Plugins page and activate the plugin
  4. Insert the shortcode!

Example Shortcode:

To insert the Twitter follow button, simply enter the following shortcode within a page, post or text widget. Here’s an example:

[twitter-follow username="alexmoss" scheme="dark"]

This will output the following:
